We appreciated the location of this park just south of Fort Worth for an overnight. Assumed they would have ESPN on their cable though, but when they didn't we had to set up our dish to watch Monday Night Football! Good long site was easy in and out but the highway noise (I-35) was constant. Not sure why anyone would want to stay here for an extended stay with the noise, but they did seem to have lots of amenities.

Good spot for an overnight, but getting here off the interstate is a bit of an adventure. If you don't like driving through town, this place is not for you. We appreciated the price and friendly hosts. Sites were short and barely adequate by today's standards. We would stay here again to explore the area for Will Rogers and Patti Paige history.

We have stayed here many times as it is close to family. We were pleased to see that the bushes that have blocked the entrances and the exits at each site have been removed. They were always a major problem in the past. Our opinion, this place has a "big head." They more or less have a monopoly in the area and their customer service suffers because of it. They are not friendly and nickel and dime you to death. We always start here and try to move elsewhere as soon as we can.

We had easy access to the park and our site with our large 5th wheel trailer and truck. Pull throughs seemed plentiful for overnight stays. I-75 was visible but noise was minimal. The seasonal sites had the shade. The restroom, though dated, was very clean and pleasant. The cable TV reception could have been clearer but it was adequate. We would stop here again for a Lake City stay.

Easy access from I- 75 but no highway noise. We are staying here a month at $300 + elec. -- to us a very reasonable rate. On a previous visit, the grading of the sites was much better than now. Roads and some sites are black-topped. We have a gravel site this time however, and it is very uneven which seems to be the rule for the gravel ones rather than the exception. Some trees need to be trimmed. Perhaps this is a springtime phenomenon as it seemed better when we were here last fall. Everything here is clean, there are lots of activities for kids, and it has a good little store.

If you are looking for a place to stay awhile, this place is great. It is a 55+ park. They cater to Winter Texans. The many activities and friendly folks bring us back in our fifth wheel year after year. They are in the process of updating some sites to better accommodate the new RV's. The nightly rate I quoted is an estimated one based on a long term stay. I highly recommend this park to those who want to stay awhile.

We stay here twice a year as we visit family. They have removed many of the bushes that were such a problem in the past. The wifi works well. Clean pleasant park. Playground could be upgraded.

Very friendly, helpful owners here. Nice overnight stop. Good pull-throughs, good cable TV. Will stop here again.

If it weren't so pricey, this is one of the nicest KOAs we've stayed in. They have just blacktopped the roads and all sites seem to have received some grading recently. It is in a quiet location just off I-75. We'd stay here again.

Passport America rate. Good long, level pull-throughs. Not a destination, that's for sure, but for overnight it fit the bill.

Passport America 1/2 price rate was honored for 3 of our 7 nights. This is an outstanding park. If you are staying in the Crossville/Fairfield Glade area awhile, it is perfect. The reasons I did not give it a ten are 1. off the beaten path; 2. the short term sites are 1.2 miles into the campground on white gravel roads; 3. although the roads are well maintained, they left a white dust all over our vehicles. Otherwise, lake, and other amenities are perfect. Price is very good for the area.

This park is in a beautiful location about 5 miles up the mountain from Boone. Boone is a congested nightmare, but this was as peaceful and quiet as they get. As for the sites, they could be better. The seasonals sites have the best spots. There are many seasonals here, very well kept up and scenic. We asked for a spot where we could get satellite service since they don't offer cable TV and they put us in the field behind the office/store area with the kids playground in our backyard. These seem to be "afterthought" sites made for satellite folks like us. Getting into them was no picnic. The rest of the sites available were very wooded and on very narrow hilly roads with little room between them. I think families like this place. We'll look for a different place if we are in this area again.

Seemed overpriced for location. This was a gated campground. Interior roads were narrow. Most sites were pullthrus and plenty long. The basic cable had good reception but lacked a few channels such as ESPN. (Important during football season!) Our site was level and the campground was very quiet. The pool was closed for the season. There was a small pond with canoes filled with rain water and a jumping pillow. The store/game room seemed well stocked but was located well away from the campsites. Trash was picked up at the sites daily. We'd stay here again. We camped here in a fifth wheel.

This is the best state park campground we have ever stayed in. The setting is beautiful. We awoke to deer in the front yard. The sites are back-in but spacious. I wish that all state parks emulate this one! The Arnold Palmer golf course on the premises was icing on the cake for us. Call ahead. They fill quickly. We camped here in a fifth wheel.

We stayed a week. Good location -- near I-90 but far enough away for no traffic noise. Nice store and laundromat. Uneven sites more common than not. Very nice folks here. Seems to be about 50/50 seasonal to short term folks. If you go north on Sterritainia Rd. for 10 miles you arrive at Presque Isle. Beautiful place.

We needed a place near Chittenango and struggled to find something that fit our needs. This did to a degree. There are two campground areas in this state park. Both have several 35' and 40' foot electric only sites. The upper campground had very wide sites but the lower campground nearer the office had more attractive sites. Not all sites were level, but we had no trouble with our big rig. We were even able to get a satellite signal. Would have been nice to have had F/H/U of course, but this worked fine for our short visit there. A Robert Trent Jones golf course and a very pretty lake with beach, playground and concessions are also located at this park. Has many foot and bikes paths. Looks like a great place for families.

This park is located 5 miles from Dandridge and 6 miles from Newport with easy access from I-40 or I-81. Dandridge is a charming old town on Douglas Lake. Smoky Mountains are not too far away. The new owners are really trying to improve the park and a new name will be part of the change. It is a quiet, pleasant place to spend a few days. We would stay here again.

I would say this park is in Trenton. It is about 15 miles from Acadia. We stayed here a week. We would stay here again. All previous comments apply except we had low power. Easy pull throughs if you don't mind a sunny location. Skip the laundry -- a relic.

The side-by-side sites mentioned in previous review were also near the road and were a bit noisy. Great place for tents and pop-ups in the back areas.

We stayed here four nights, two at the half price Passport America rate which made it a bargain. Location is great. Views are great. The seasonal campers have attractive units. Activities are available all summer. Children seemed very welcome. Little Par 3 golf course was fun. We would stay here again.

The Adult only aspect of this park sounded fine to us, but I was taken aback a bit when I read the rules and regs once we arrived. No one under 21 may enter the park, period! And only four people are allowed at a site, ever! I guess that does cut down on the "partying" which is obviously a big concern for these folks, but it did put a damper on the reason we were in town -- to see relatives with a fairly large family including a ten year old. No family barbeque at the RV Park, that was for sure. Good wifi, good cable, attractive setting but I agree with other reviewers; the pull-throughs are very narrow and the lack of any activities around are a drawback. We might stay here again because the price is a bit better than the ones with all the bells and whistles.

Nice park. Has many kid-friendly activities. We had a little trouble getting a satellite signal, but we had very good WiFi which was free. We would stay here again.

This park had huge pull thrus for short term campers. The owners were very friendly as were the many seasonal folks we encountered. The WiFi worked only near the office. We would stop here again.

We liked this park. It was quiet. WiFi was free one hour each day; after that a nominal fee was charged. They are busy. A square dance club was there the weekend we were there, and there appeared to be a day camp meeting there during the week. We don't have kids, but I was impressed with the playground; it had older equipment placed in a cleverly updated setting. The swimming pool looked fine, too. Many seasonal sites sit in the trees and many short term sites are in an open area. We would return here.

Stayed here as Passport America members which gave us a half price rate. It is hard to find positive things to say. We stayed in the lower, more open, section where there was at least one 50 amp site (#7), but because of the trees behind our rig (south) we were unable to get satellite reception. Another fellow had put his motorhome at the far end of the area opposite us to get his over the trees. We managed three very scratchy channels with the antenna. Swimming pool was large and looked okay and the playground looked functional. They had some nice landscaped areas around the office, but everywhere else was weedy and junky. For some unfathomable reason the laundramat closed at 4:30 p.m. We took a walk and got lost in the maze of the hills and roads where the majority of the seasonal sites are. There was a mix of decent looking rigs and the usual others, some looking abandoned. An abandoned horse shoe pit area up in the hills typified the condition of this place. Once upon a time this campground might have been something, but I don't think we'll come back to see if it improves now. What they need to do is bring in the dumpsters and start cleaning up!

This park is located 3 miles from Niagara Falls in the Lundy Lane business district and is close to restaurants and shopping. It is reasonably priced compared to its pricey brand-name neighbors. It didn't have all the bells and whistles of those neighbors, but it was plenty good enough for us and we would return for the money saving aspect. Most RV sites are back-in FHU 30 amp. There are no side-by-side hookups, but neighbors are very close at the back of each site. There are some seasonal sites, and it is very popular on the weekends with younger tenting families.

We stopped here because it is fairly close to Saginaw. The amenities were wasted on us. Our main complaint about this park was the overgrown trees/bushes they have planted at the entrances and exits to most all sites. Made it difficult to park.

Shady, nice, quiet park. Found the perfect holes in the trees for the satellite. Wireless is spotty. We rode our bikes to the ferry about 1.2 miles away. Good location for seeing the sights.

All pull through sites, easy in and out. Basic place that was perfect for us for a couple days as we dodged thunder storms and tornados. Good cable TV.

We enjoyed this park. Very quiet but near town. Sycamore is a pleasant small town, and, of the RV parks that are near the western suburbs, (although none are very near...) this is our 1st choice. It was 18 miles west of St. Charles where one can catch the METRA commuter train to get into downtown Chicago and other western suburbs. Driving to Lombard, our destination most of the time, was acceptable. They have a new bath and laundry house. WiFi is due to be installed very soon; in the meantime we found the town library to be quite convenient. Great nearby golf. Try the town course for sure. We stayed here one month for $350 + elec.

This was a nice park. We stayed here one week at a 15% discounted rate. Two-thirds or more of their sites are water/electric only. We could not get a full hook up site. Therefore, in an effort to conserve our gray water tank, we did use the showers which were clean but dated. There is a "honey-wagon" service available for a fee. They clearly advertise as an adult oriented park. Although close to the interstate, we were surprised at how quiet it was. They have WiFi that has a limited range. We would stay here again

Out of the way -- very quiet. Near Lake Springfield area which is very nice. About 8 miles to Lincoln stuff. Need better signage to get you off the interstate. Follow directions in the KOA book to a T and you should have no problem Adequate place. WiFi available only near registration building / store.

We stay here often because it is close to family. The trees that they planted years ago at the entrance to each site have grown so much that entering and exiting most sites is difficult. They need to be trimmed back or removed. Playground needs some work. Otherwise, very adequate and clean.

Bentsen Grove was an orange grove once upon a time. Each site has its own citrus fruit tree of some kind. We have stayed here for extended winter stays 3 years now. I agree with the review that at first blush this place is a "trailer" park as many sites have been taken over by park models, trailers, and even double-wides, but they are interested in us RV-ers as we are their future, after all. What we like most about this place is the people -- the activities (lots of golf and music groups) and the camaraderie. It is a 55 and over park, and because it has been around awhile there are some old-timers, but young folks are welcome for limited stays, and my husband and I love all ages -- the greatest generation and us baby-boomers!
